PHILOSOPHY
I will always aim to deliver an educated and reputable form of evidence-based training and strategies for the ever-evolving sports landscape. Using an academic and data-driven approach, my goal is to help people enable unyielding confidence, invest in their health and performance, and uncover their true potential.
ABOUT ME
I grew up in Dallas, Texas where I spent my after-school hours on the scorching hot tennis courts, aspiring to be a part of the next generation of Grand Slam champions. Soon after moving to Chicago in 2010, I had my first experience with combat sports at a local MMA gym. My original interest was in cross-training and continuing to play in the junior tennis circuit, but the exciting (and risky) prospect of becoming a combat sports athlete quickly influenced me to pursue the growing sport. Since 2014, I have been competing in MMA, Muay Thai, boxing, and Jiu Jitsu—collecting the TBA-SA Muay Thai Welterweight title in 2019, and winning gold at the 2024 IBJJF European Championship.
Throughout my mixed martial arts career, I developed an everlasting passion for sport and exercise. This passion coupled with an enthusiasm for kinesiology and health sciences enabled my aspirations to learn, grow and excel in the sports industry.
STATEMENT
Prioritizing our health as individuals is essential to achieving physical, mental, and emotional well-being. However, the modern health industry has become saturated with influencers and healthcare professionals preaching and monetizing misinformation and pseudoscience. With the growing popularity of the fitness industry, we are faced with a challenge and an opportunity to redesign the way we operate as professionals and members of the community.
In my academic and professional career, I have learned and worked under highly qualified coaches, trainers, and physical therapists who have set a standard for fitness and healthcare professions. Their reputation and qualifications are built on a foundation of education, research, and high level training—where knowledge and skill are emphasized.
By fostering a community that values continuous learning and embraces scientifically-validated methods, we can make informed decisions about our health and successfully change the landscape of health and wellness.
WORKING TOGETHER
Managing every aspect of training by yourself can be overwhelming. Strength & conditioning, nutrition, injury prevention, mental health—each of these domains are incredibly deep with information that can seem daunting to learn and apply. Many of us try to be the all-in-one coach for ourselves, but there is no way we can optimize our health and performance alone. By having a team of trusted experts, you can take the stress out of decision-making, and receive specialized guidance that is tailored to your needs. My job is to help you reach your athletic potential without getting bogged down by the details.
